Why don’t you display prices on your website?

Although sometimes frustrating, we don’t display pricing on our website because our beds and chairs are made for you.

Every single piece of Willowbrook furniture is designed and built around the customer. We take into account height, weight and leg and body measurements in order to create the perfect chair or bed for you. We also offer different fabrics and plenty of additional extras. This means each chair and bed is different, so it would be misleading to display pricing on our website.

Why do other companies like you offer pricing?

Other companies who offer pricing on their website do so because they have stock chairs offered in standard sizing and measurements. These are often very basic chairs purchased in bulk and are not built to last.  They often have limited or no warranty and are delivered in a box for you to assemble yourself.

Where is my furniture made?

All our furniture is handmade and crafted in our UK factory based in the midlands. Many materials, such as the foam and fabric used, are sourced in the UK as well, keeping it brilliantly British! Very few companies have their own factory and will often outsource your furniture to a 3rd party manufacturer. Buying from Willowbrook means you deal directly with us throughout the whole process.

Why don’t you have a store?

It’s simple. We know it’s very difficult to get out and make the journey to a store, so we have the solution. We come to you. You still get the benefits of trying out our products and viewing all the colours and designs we have to offer, but from the comfort of your own home. No stores also means you buy direct, and enjoy incredible savings.

Can I try the furniture before I buy?

Absolutely. We don’t have a store, which means we come to you. We provide a FREE, no obligation home demonstration where you can try out our riser recliner chairs and adjustable beds in the comfort of your own home. This won’t be your exact chair (as we make these to order), but a demonstration model allows you to experience the superior comfort of our furniture and try all the ingenious accessories to make your life easier.

What is involved in the home demonstration?

We provide a free, no obligation home demonstration for all of our potential customers to ensure that you fully understand the product and are happy that you could use it without difficulty. Consider this a try before you buy. If you are not happy with the product, we would not want you to buy one.

Once you have requested a demonstration, we will send a local, trained advisor to your home in order to demonstrate and explain the product you may be interested in and answer any questions you have.

Can I have family members present at the home demonstration?

We actively encourage you to have a friend or family member present at the time of the demonstration. This normally makes people feel more at ease and comfortable within their own home, all home demonstrations are without obligation, so we like to make it as much of a pleasant experience as possible.

Do I have to buy once I’ve had my home demonstration?

No, not at all. We offer the home demonstration to make sure you are happy with the products we offer.  Our home visits are the equivalent to you visiting a store, it’s only a try before you buy.

What is your returns policy?

As our chairs and beds are handmade to order, so we cannot accept returns of your furniture if it has been delivered. We would hope you are happy with your decision to purchase a Willowbrook, however if for any reason you wish to cancel your order, we will give you 14 days from your order to cancel. From then, you may incur charges to stop the manufacturer. If your item of furniture is bespoke, the 14-day cancellation does to apply. You can stop the manufacture at any time but will incur charges depending on the stage of manufacture. 

How do I know I am VAT exempt

If you have a long-term illness or you’re disabled, you might not have to pay VAT on certain goods and services that you buy or bring into the UK. This means that you can purchase our furniture for cheaper as you’re are exempt from VAT. For more information, visit the HM revenue and customs website or call us on 0800 854 330.


How long will it take for my furniture to be delivered?

We usually give a window of 3-4 weeks from order to delivery. We hand build all our furniture to order, so this window ensures your furniture is the highest quality. We will contact you to arrange delivery at a time convenient to you.

What do I do on the day of delivery?

Our installation engineers will call you on the morning of your delivery and advise you of an approximate time. All you need to do is be there, they will deliver, install and demonstrate the product for you. Once complete they take away all the packaging and even your old product if previously requested. All part of our complete service.

As part of our new COVID19 Policy, our engineers will be wearing PPE for everyone’s safety. They will also assemble your new product and further clean it down using their antibacterial products.

Adjustable Bed FAQ's

What is a dual control adjustable bed?

We offer dual control on most of our adjustable beds. This simply means both sides of the bed can be controlled and moved individually. This is ideal if you share a bed with your partner and prefer to sleep in different positions.

What will happen to my old bed?

No need to worry about your old bed. We offer a FREE bed removal service. Before we install your new adjustable bed, we will dismantle, remove and take away your old bed!

Can I use any mattress with an adjustable bed?

In short, no, you can’t use any mattress with an adjustable bed. We do however offer a choice of mattresses with all of our adjustable beds, all of which can offer you maximum comfort and suit your specific needs.

Do adjustable beds damage mattresses?

If you are using a mattress that is compatible with your adjustable bed, then it will not become damaged. We do however recommend changing your mattress every 5 years to ensure that you are provided with maximum comfort all night long.

Which size does my bed come in?

We hand build the bed in standard sizes of single, double and dual control. However, as these are built for every customer we can build the bed to your specifications. 

How long does it take for my bed to be manufactured?

We aim to get your product to you as quickly as possible, however, please bear in mind that we hand-build all of our beds to your requirements so can take 4-6 weeks for manufacture to be completed.

We will contact you once your product is ready and arrange a suitable delivery date with you.

How often should I change my mattress / bed?

Along with the National Bed Federation, we advise that a mattress is renewed every five years if you want to maintain maximum comfort.

Is it healthy to sleep on an adjustable bed?

Sleeping on an adjustable bed can offer you an abundance of health benefits including: temporary relieving back pain, alleviating sleep apnoea and snoring and temporary relief of arthritic pain.

Do adjustable beds need special sheets?

No, any bed sheets can be used on an adjustable bed as long as they fit the size of the bed. Adjustable bed sheet fasteners can be purchased and used to keep your bed sheets secure when your bed is adjusted. This helps to prevent the sheets from bulking in the middle and moving away from the edges of the mattress.

How does a riser recliner chair benefit me?

Riser recliner chairs have plenty of health benefits and at Willowbrook we make our chairs to suit your particular requirements so you are provided with the correct support to keep you comfortable.

Not only can our riser recliner chairs help to increase your independence and help you to relax, but they can also offer you temporary positional relief from backache, arthritic pain aching joints.

What is a dual motor riser recliner chair?

A dual motor is when the controls for the back of the chair and the footrest are separate. This means that you can control each of them separately, creating the perfect comfortable position.

How will I know how to use my riser recliner chair?

By booking a FREE home visit, you are able to test out the chair before you buy. Once you have purchased your chair, our friendly engineers will set up your chair and show you how to use it. 

How does a riser recliner work?

A Willowbrook riser recliner chair is powered through a plug into the mains. You can also add an optional battery backup, meaning that in the event of a power cut, your chair will still work.  

Can I have a matching sofa?

Yes! We also build sofas so you can purchase a sofa to match your riser recliner. Choose any fabric, with options to have a static or riser recliner sofa as well.
